Some history here. **information from Discraft page*** January 1st, 1987, the Cruiser was approved by the PDGA for competition play. Considered by many to be the first driver-like disc in the sport, the Cruiser had a low profile with a relatively large wing. At this point we only had 4 other golf discs on the market and the release of the Cruiser was the beginning of a defining step towards the discs we know today.
