We had a bit of a scare a week ago Friday night, a first for us. Our newest gang member Tillie, Parker x Libby, got bit by a baby rattlesnake. We had just gotten home from a day at the cabin around 930pm. It was coiled by the edge of the garage where we park. Tillie got out and immediately saw it before anyone else. It struck her high on the nose under the right eye. We ran her to Cody Vet Hospital. She needed antivenom and an overnight stay at our vets. She still had swelling the day we picked her up but her spirit wasn't broken lol. A week before Tillie tried to take on a young badger out where we run the dogs.
All the years we've spent in the outdoors hunting and hiking with the gang, rattlesnakes have always been a major concern. But we have never encountered any snakes around or on our property until now. The vets said they have had 9 snake bite cases already this year.

About mid May we had snow storms in various locations in WY. Most south of us. A mom who has a girl from Parker x Libby litter, sent us this video of River playing in her first snow. And they got dumped on. River was having a blast. ❤️😂

Parker x Libby gang will be going to their new homes soon.
Events of this last week.. they have been mastering the advanced treat board since they mastered the beginners. Took a road trip in crates to visit Cody Vet Hospital for puppy wellness examine, start first puppy shot series and worming. Great little travelers.
They got to ride in the wagon Gary made for our granddaughter, my Peanut, Ashtyn when she was a youngster. She is now 26, so it became the Puppy Wagon.
Took them on a short outing on the way home.
They got baths and they didn't mind the blow dryer. The weather has been nice but not warm enough to set up the pool. They have been enjoying the make shift pool.

Photo dump of Parker x Libby kids for the last 2 wks. Their indoor outdoor play, learning stairs, playing with Grandma Cali. Scatter feeding for nose work, mastering the treat board and snuffle mat and getting/giving lots of loves.

The Parker x Libby kids are enjoying their outdoor play. They get to go nose to nose with the big boys. They are busy with sit command, recall and nose work. Their treats are blueberries, strawberries, apples and bananas and they love them all. They come when called or to a whistle. They have been on solid foods and some mom's milk.
They are busy little rascals. They have a burst of energy then they crash. Just like me 😆
They will head for the veterinary clinic Friday for their 6 wk wellness check and first series of puppy shots.

It's been a busy week for the Parker x Libby gang. At 4 wks, the whelping box gone and into their new diggs. We've been adding toys and noise makers added a divider so they learn where to do their business. They were chowing down on soft ground cereal and with mom's milk they are on the move. They are now eating solid food and learning their sit command for treats.

The Parker x Libby Valentine pups have their eyes and ears open, making barking, chirping, growling noises and finished their ENS Therapy eariler last week. They just turned 3 wks Sat, they are learning to drink from a bowl, teeth are coming thru, playing with each other, running around in short bursts, come when we call or whistle, loves to be held and gives us lots of kisses. They also had their second pedicure and the puppers love belly rubs. 🥰

It's been a wild week!! Lol Parker x Libby puppies arrived on Valentines day 6 girls and 2 boys. Libby was out for her run the next morning. They have already traveled to the veterinary clinic for their wellness check and dewclaws removed. All are well and healthy. They are now doing their ENS Therapy. Libby is a good mama. This is her first litter. ❤️

Today we celebrated Cali's 14th birthday. She had a "Golden" party with the gang 🥳

A BIG THANK YOU for the birthday greetings for Cali. And the pics were great to see from some we haven't heard from for awhile. Gary just shook his head and mumbled " Poor dogs" 😂
