Hello Barlow Mat Club - Quick important scheduling update for everyone. Coach Luna has decided to update the practice schedule for the season. From now until the end of the season, the beginning wrestlers will practice MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 6-7PM and the advanced wrestlers will practice TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 6-7:30. If your child is 10 or over OR invited by Coach Luna to the Elite Practice on Tuesdays, then your child will wrestle at the advanced practices. Everyone else will practice at the beginning practices unless they are invited by the coach to the advance practice. Online Registration for the Barlow Mat Club 2014-2015 Wrestling Season is Now Open!

The Barlow Mat Club Wrestling season is set to begin and we look forward to teaching your child the fundamentals and techniques of wrestling. Online registration in now open, and for those returning you will notice some changes. For more information on registration costs and how to register your child(ren), please go http://barlowmatclub.org/registration/

An in-person registration date has been scheduled and will be held on Monday, October 20th from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Barlow High School Holevas Gym. Parents are encouraged to come by and drop off their payments and their signed registration confirmation materials received after they have registered online. This will also be a great time to talk with the coaches and have them answer any questions you may have about the season, tournaments, etc. For those who have registered online, your child(ren)s shirts and shorts will be available for pick up. If you did not register online please allow 2-3 weeks for bulk ordering and pick up.

Hello Barlow Mat Club Fans

Just a reminder the 3rd Annual Cruisin for the Kids Car show is scheduled to be held this Saturday, August 30th and will be located at the Multnomah Greyhound Park at 944 NE 223rd in Wood Village. Gates open at 9:00am and over 50 trophies will be awarded and announced at 3:00pm. Throughout the day we will also be raffling off donated prizes as well as a 50/50 drawing, T-Shirt sales and a BBQ.

As a fundraising initiative, Barlow Mat Club has set up an annual car show where the concept is based on the idea to be for the kids, by the kids. 100% of the proceeds raised would go to help and support our children by setting up a scholarship fund for children who want to participate in wrestling, but whose parents can’t afford the costs, as well as to keep down the registration costs and purchase new gear that will benefit every wrestler. As everyone knows our schools these days are sorely underfunded, with more and more extracurricular activities being cut each year. Barlow Mat Club is trying to create opportunities for children to have a physical activity available even if they can’t afford it.

For this event to be a success, we need your help! We are in desperate need for each family to find sponsors and volunteer at the event. Please stop by, help out, and show your support!

Attention all Barlow Mat Club Wrestlers - it almost time to lace up those wrestling shoes and get reintroduced to the mat! Practice starts Monday, October 21st from 6:00-7:30 in the Sam Barlow High School – Holevas Wrestling Gym.
Parents, if your child is just finishing up with a fall sport or you haven't registered yet, no worries. Registration will stay open, before coming to your first practice, fill out the Registration Form online at barlowmatclub.org and print out the confirmation materials that you will received upon submission.
