Does this count as an extreme plank?! 🄓

I had a little too much puppy love this morning so my workout morphed into a pup training session. She gets a little excited when I jump around and get on the floor. Lucky for me today’s workout was cardio and abs. šŸ™ƒ

I get it, finding motivation is hard especially when the excuses start presenting themselves. Sometimes a 40 minute workout is 60 minutes long. Sometimes a great cardio workout turns into a dog training session. Whatever you do DON’T stop.

I spent the last 6 months stopped and in my own way. I filled my own head with negative thoughts and discouraging self talk. Once you jump on that train it’s difficult to find that spark again.

I spent months doing one workout here then excuses. Then two workouts. Then excuses.

What’s different today? I finally looked myself in the mirror and coached myself the same way I coach others. There is no way I would speak to anyone the same way I speak to myself and it has to stop. The mirror helps.

I reminded myself about how good I felt when I exercised regularly. How much energy I had and how much I actually missed feeling strong.

Well, now I’m back. It’s officially official.

My challenge you to join me! Do something physical each day. 10 squats here, 1 mile jog there. One foot in front of the other. It doesn’t have to be difficult. You don’t have to sweat. Eventually you will fall into a rhythm and form habits. Build on your success each day! Find a friend, challenge them to join you. Make it fun 🤩

It’s time for me to move past my excuses. It’s time to continue moving forward.

Hood To Coast is 1.25 sleeps (.25 because I have to get up at 2am to meet with my team for a 5am start) away and I am super stoked and so ready!
I was asked to join this team just over two weeks ago and I jumped at the opportunity! Thank you for offering me this opportunity to challenge myself to something new and exciting.
We are sponsored by , don’t get too excited as we are a ā€œfunā€ team and not really competing for time. Although we will all strive for our personal best times.
I have all my gear ready and am pumped for this adventure!
For those that don’t know, H2C is a 199 mile relay race held in Oregon that starts at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood and ends in Seaside. Each team has 12 people who each run 3 legs of the race.
The relay attracts competitive athletes from all over the world and has been a tradition for many runners since 1982 😱
