I'll be dancing fire with the Valkyrie Dance Project, and dancer/mermaid Samantha will be dancing with Wasted W**e at the Upstate Renaissance Faire, so we met today and practiced.

She let me borrow her fire palms for a flow, and I think I've found my fire prop for the year!

I need to find 100% cotton again. I had to borrow my son's massive t-shirt to stay unmelted.

It's not as intense as a full show since we don't have to run tech, but it's still quite a triumph of the human spirit for these dancers to go from demanding careers to rehearsals!

Drop-in belly dance classes are still available on Saturdays, 8-8:50 am! $15

Yoga: Saturdays, 9-9:50 am $15
