RECAP OF DEAN “THE BOOGEYMAN” LISTER SEMINAR AT IBJJA

We had the opportunity to welcome 3X ADCC World Champion and ADCC Hall of Famer Dean “The Boogeyman” Lister to Indiana Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy for an incredible No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar.

Dean Lister is one of the pioneers who helped change the way the Jiu-Jitsu world looks at leg locks and submission grappling, and getting to learn directly from him on our mats was an experience we won’t forget.

A huge thank you to Dean Lister for making the trip to Indiana and sharing his knowledge with us, and to everyone from IBJJA, Team James Clingerman, and the surrounding BJJ community who came out and made this seminar such a great one.

This is what we love about Jiu-Jitsu — there is always another level to learn.

This past weekend, Allie and Christian competed in IKF Midwest point sparring matches, and both of them won! Thanks to Coach Korey for coaching them at the event and for always being a phenomenal and dedicated instructor!

We also had a few affiliate students of Vortex Martial Arts Gym fight under Muay Thai and "unified" (aka K1) rules. The three competitors won all their fights, and scored 3 division titles! All while wearing stellar looking shin guards! 😂

Coach Shane Bui (with his brother and cousin) was the first new member when we originally move IBJJA to Greenwood, back in 2003!
Shane was just a child, back then, and now he is husband and father and an amazing part of our Coaching stuff.
