I’m truly so lucky to have Jack somewhere he is loved and cared for. After taking a hefty wack to his leg (assumably rolling) he was running a fever, sore as can be, and absolutely lethargic. Everyone at the farm hopped on deck to help me get him well again. Massive thank you to everyone at Willow Creek Sporthorses for their help in getting Jack well again.

The first horse show in 2.5 years for Jack and I is just around the corner and I want to give some thank you’s to the people who have helped me get Jack feeling and looking great so that we can feel confident going into next weekend. Thank you to Amanda Strassle, Julie and Bob McCrady, Leah Harris, Vivian Simms, Marie Maloney, Robert McClaren, Rhonda Martin, and Karen Withstanley! That’s just to name a few. Happy Gotcha Day/Birthday to the Jon! Kind, hardworking, patient. Those are just three out of thousands of words to describe this once in a lifetime horse. He’s timeless. 28 and still packing children around the ring! For those of you wondering what he has been up to he is being leased by a super kind family in south KCK showing another young one the ropes! Though this wouldn’t be a Jon post without mentioning the amazing Caleigh! Though she is no longer in my lesson program as I’m not teaching at the moment, watching her and Jon through the years truly made my heart soar. So naturally I included a couple of my favorite Caleigh photos!

Jack and I have been getting back to our dressage roots. I wish I had some good photos from July and August, but working photos will have to do. It’s wonderful to see how he’s changed despite some riding inconsistencies on my part. I can’t wait to really get back into the swing of things with him. He’s such a talented horse! Thank you to Willow Creek Sporthorses for your fabulous care and to for helping us continue our education!
