One more tourney this weekend to wrap up a great season. A little parents/siblings vs the boys wiffle ball game followed by some treats for all. Baseball is a great competitive sport but this, in the end, is what it is all about. Bringing people from all over together.

Some catch up from a busy couple weekends. Mother’s Day weekend we were able to celebrate our wonderful moms with a W and solid play during the weekend. Our Silver Slugger for the weekend was Jake hitting .667 on the weekend along with a couple extra base hits as our leadoff hitter.

Our gold glove continue with Emmitt with another solid weekend up the middle.

This past weekend, we traveled to Tennessee to play some high level opponents in beautiful Clarksville. Our Silver Slugger and Gold glove winner went to Graham. Hitting .400 with a couple extra base hits in the three hole, and his outfield defense was on point even in the windy conditions. Well done boys!

Success Update 4/18-4/19 USSSA Looney Tunes Showdown

The BAM 13u Diamond-Lawalin team honorably battled adversity and some last-minute scheduling changes in this weekend's event. Suffering only 1 key loss on the weekend, there were certainly some stand-out performances; and it’s time to recognize some of these accomplishments.

The Golden Glove
This is an award that will be given for each event played this season. This weekend, #21 Hunter Cole earned the award. Pitching 3 innings, Hunter racked up 6 Strikeouts and demonstrated some quick reflexes on a hard-hit ball back to the hill to record the out with swagger. Hunter also recorded 2 put-outs and demonstrated excellent leadership at the shortstop position in the remainder of the event.

Honorable Mentions:
Garrett Losh (C, Utility)- 10 PO, and a great diving catch in LF
Nolan Allen (1B, P) - 7 PO

The Golden Bat
This is also an award that will be given for each event played this season. Jake Lawalin #13 batted for a .400 Average, .400 OBP, on a double and a triple for the weekend. Holding down the lead-off spot, Jake exemplified the duties of a lead-off hitter with BAM Pride this weekend.

Honorable Mentions:
Graham McBride: .667, .750 OBP, 1 RBI
Owen Sells: .500. AVG, .600 OBP, 2H
Dillon Welt: .500 AVG, .667 OBP

In two weeks, the club heads to Greenwood to play in the GMB Dinger De Mayo event. The team will recover from this weekend and work to continue progress as they prepare for yet another strong showing. Let's continue to support our team as they prepare for the next event!

Success Update 4/12-4/13 GMB Can of Corn Tournament
The BAM 13u Diamond-Lawalin team showed up bIg this weekend, and we’re happy to recognize or top Offensive and Defensive performances with the following awards…

The Golden Glove
This is an award that will be given for each event played this season. This weekend, it is #23 Emmitt Wilson. Emmitt racked up 4 assists and turned 2 double plays with no errors on the weekend. Emmitt, a middle infielder, demonstrated our organization values and principles flawlessly, and it resonated in the in-game outcomes (as it often does). Congratulations two-three!

Honorable Mentions:
Garrett Losh (C, Utility)- 2 DP, 4 Assists, and gunned down a baserunner from the C position (saving a SB)
Nolan Allen (1B, P) - 16 put-outs

The Golden Bat

This is also an award that will be given for each event played this season. Graham McBride #12 batted for a .667 Average, .800 OBP, 1 RBI, and 2 BB for the weekend. Holding down the clean-up spot, Graham exemplified the duties of a clean-up hitter with superiority this weekend.

Garrett Losh: .600. AVG, .600 OBP, 3H, 1 RBI
Nolan Allen: .333 AVG, .600 OBP

Next week the club heads to South Indy to play in the Looney Tunes Showdown. The team is excited to continue their progress in greatest game on earth (and that’s why it’s played on a Diamond).
