Center Grove Aquatic Club (CGAC) is excited to announce the hiring of Emily Willham as its new Senior Assistant Coach.
Willham brings an impressive combination of elite competitive experience and coaching knowledge to CGAC. A former standout swimmer at Indiana University, she was a NCAA All-American from 2019–2021 and a 2021 Big Ten Individual Champion in the 100 Breaststroke. She also represented the United States as a USA National Team Member from 2018–2019 and competed as a USA Junior National Team Member from 2017–2019.
Emily joins CGAC after serving as a coach with Indian Creek Swim Club and Indian Creek High School, as well as coaching with Cardinal Swim Club. Her experience as both an accomplished athlete and coach will be a tremendous addition to the CGAC Senior program.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Emily to CGAC,” said Head Coach Brad Smith. “Her experience at the highest levels of swimming, combined with her passion for coaching and developing athletes, makes her an excellent fit for our program. Emily understands what it takes to compete at a high level, and we are excited for her to bring that knowledge and experience to our athletes.”
Willham will work closely with the CGAC Senior coaching staff to help develop athletes, support the continued growth of the Senior program, and prepare swimmers to reach their highest potential.
