With the downtime between snows ending and waiting on turkey season around the corner, got a lot of updating done on the website. For the sake of simplicity, ya'll will now be able to submit deposits to secure hunting dates online through website. Going to need a few guinea pigs to ensure I got that set up right 😆
Tentative dates were released a week or so ago for 2024/25;
Pretty much status quo from last season on the duck front. Season was bit of a rollercoaster; great early-mid season, standard stale mid-Dec lull, then picked up again right at the end.
Brant will stay at 1 bird/day for 30 days, tentatively Nov. 28-Dec. 7, then Dec. 14-Jan. 7. Like last season, just going to run a handful of hunts for them and black ducks to check that box for the 41 crews.
Canadas are headed for a 30 day season too but staying at 3 birds sounds like. Couple days around T-giving and then after Christmas til ~end of Jan. It was a great season on them. Looking forward to some newly added properties to the roster, esp. in September. Should be fun.
Same boat, same ocean on the white goose front as many others. Tough season overall the flyway, can just hope for more consistent weather and birds that wanna play next year.
As always, I'm not throwing around the dates are filling up fast bu****it not to wait. They are a gentle trickle for now..
