At the Club’s recent Blackfish Tournament on October 27, we had a father/son winning team.

First place was won by Jeff Thompsen with a 9.20-pound catch. His father Per took second place with an 8.25-pounder.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Grass Island played a role as a staging area for repair crews who drove in from all over the country. As mentioned in a recent article in Greenwich Time, GBYC members offered free drinks and snacks along with the hospitality of the clubhouse to help the exhausted repair workers.
