Summer maintenance has been underway since the day we closed for the season. Projects in our pump house, lighting repairs on the mountain, pipeline work among many other things have filled our time.
Last winter, we made snow on ‘Short Swing’, (a rarely used trail because of lack of snowmaking on it). Our snowmaking crew “wanted to try something” so they ran long runs of hose to get the trail open. While keeping branches away from trail edges is a seemingly endless task, We have decided that if Short Swing is going to become a regular thing, we needed to clear some trees and brush. Our Ops crew has been cutting and chipping to make it easier to make snow, groom and ski.
