A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Swim for Hope fundraiser! 🙌

Because of your generosity, we raised $2,897, enough to provide 75–100 one-on-one swim lessons for children in our community who may not otherwise have the opportunity to learn this life-saving skill. 🏊‍♂️

We'd also like to give a special congratulations to Mark, who was the instructor that helped raise the most funds during this fundraiser! Thank you, Mark, for going above and beyond to support this mission.

We're so grateful for our amazing community and the impact we're making together. 🩵💪

🚨 Last chance to support our Swim for Hope fundraiser! 🚨

Today is the final day of our fundraiser, and tonight at 6:30 PM at the Kroc Center, our instructors will be swimming as many laps as they can in 30 minutes to help raise funds for local families in need.

If you've been meaning to donate, now's the time! Every dollar goes directly to the Hope Floats Foundation to provide swim lesson scholarships for families in our community.

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our first week of Summer Travel Lessons! ☀️🏊‍♀️

It may have been a rainy start, but we loved seeing our swimmers show up ready to learn and have fun. The weather is looking much better next week, and we're so excited for all that's ahead.

Renzie is celebrating 3 years with Swim Lessons with Mary, and Mark is celebrating 1 year! We're so grateful for the care, dedication, and positive energy they bring to our swimmers and families every day.

Today is Katie T’s last day teaching with Swim Lessons with Mary. While we are so sad to see her go, we are incredibly excited for her as she steps away for a time to pursue other passion projects here in the Upstate. We wish her nothing but happiness and success in this next chapter. 🩵

Katie has made such a lasting impact on so many students and families during her time with SLWM. Her kindness, encouragement, patience, and joyful spirit brought confidence and smiles to every lesson she taught. She will truly be missed by all of us. 🏊‍♂️

Thankfully, this isn’t goodbye forever, just goodbye for now. Katie promises to keep in touch and share updates along the way, and we can’t wait to cheer her on in all that’s ahead.

Did you know you can now donate your makeup credits to support our Swim for Hope fundraiser? 🩵

Swim for Hope benefits the Hope Floats Foundation, a nonprofit that helps provide swim lesson scholarships for local families in need. Because swim lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88%, every donation helps give children access to lifesaving water safety skills.

Families may now donate up to 2 makeup credits toward the fundraiser!
To participate, simply message us:

So many new faces here! I am long over due for an introduction and some exciting news ✨

Thank you for being here and being a part of Swim Lessons with Mary. So many of you have been here since the beginning of my journey that started almost 14 years ago. I’m so grateful for your support. It’s a dream come true. I wouldn’t be able to leave my corporate job after 6 years of bootstrapping without my amazing team and each of you. I’m finally full time on SLWM and fully dedicated to our mission. Let’s end drowning and bring on the best 1-on-1 swim lesson experience to our community! 💪🏼

💦 Tip Tuesday: Eliminate Potential Pool Dangers This Season 💦

One simple way to make your pool safer? Remove pool floaties when they’re not actively being used. Floaties left in the water can block visibility and make it harder to see if someone is underneath or in distress.

When the pool is not in use, be sure to:
✅ Put away pool floaties
✅ Remove toys from the pool
✅ Keep the pool area clear and safe

Leaving toys in the pool may tempt a child to try to retrieve them, which can quickly lead to an accident.

A few small habits can make a big difference in preventing water emergencies. Stay safe this pool season, and follow us for more swim safety tips! ☀️🏊
