Ever wonder what actually makes a Lagree class different from every other workout? It's not magic — well, kind of. 😉
We call it the Magic 10: the 10 principles behind every single class we teach, from your first Megaformer class to your 300th. Here’s the breakdown:
1️⃣ Effective Form — good form isn't a suggestion, it's the whole point. Nail the basics, get the results, avoid the injuries.
2️⃣ Effective Tempo — we embrace the slow. A paced, 4-count tempo builds serious strength and endurance, every second counts.
3️⃣ Effective Transition — minimal rest between moves keeps your heart rate up and balances pushing, pulling, and stabilizing.
4️⃣ Effective Planes of Motion — we train the way you actually move, targeting every muscle group to strengthen, lengthen, and tone.
5️⃣ Effective Range of Motion — most people notice a wider range of motion in just 2-3 sessions, and it keeps improving from there.
6️⃣ Effective Duration — forget counting reps. We count time under tension by the minutes.
7️⃣ Effective Sequence — the order of exercises isn't random, it's engineered. The right sequence is what makes the method work.
8️⃣ Effective Resistance — variable resistance (springs) protects your joints. Isometric holds bring on the burn and the shakes.
9️⃣ Effective Cueing — the markings on the platform and carriage let your instructor give fast, precise direction, so you spend less time confused and more time in your work out.
🔟 Effective Incline — a ramp adjusts the Mega Pro machine’s angle, so movements get harder or easier depending on whether you're working with or against gravity (hello, Auburn and Athens 👋🏻).
That's the Magic 10. Is there one you feel the most? 💪🏻
