Unfortunately we just received a message that yellow jackets are back on hole #12. They are in a tree with lots of holes about halfway down the hill. Please use extreme caution in this area while we work on getting someone out there to deal with them.

Disc Golfers: On the night of Thursday, July 6 a local resident was involved in a serious accident on the bike trail near the Tower Park Disc Golf Course. Several Disc Golfers helped this individual and we would like to connect with them. Please have them message us via facebook or call the GARCC offices at 616-754-9163.

Huge shout out to the Greenville DPW for replacing the damaged teepad on hole 18. Please tee off in front of the teepad as it needs time to cure. Thank you everyone for your patience.

Tower Park will be full this Sunday, October 11th for the Tower Open. We encourage you to seek another place to play if possible like Courtland Township or Smash Park to avoid interfering with tournament play. Thank you in advance and have a great Sunday! 🥏⛳

Kyle Klein, Michigan's own has been competing again the worlds best this year and is currently sitting in 8th place at one of the most prestigious tournaments in discgolf.

The upcoming 18-year-old is showing he has what it takes.

The City Manager reluctantly approved re-opening the course under RESTRICTED PLAY RULES for the holiday weekend. I can't emphasize this enough though, you MUST follow the rules attached below and posted throughout the course.
Failure to comply WILL RESULT IN COURSE CLOSURE and I don't think second chances will be given this time. The course will remain open if you follow the rules! I'd like to thank Jeff Wilcox, Bryan Kroning & Andrew Harris for dropping everything this afternoon to help get the baskets back in. Notice: baskets 13 & 18 were not replaced today due to damage to the anchors.

I know many of you are eager to get back on Tower Park Disc Golf Course but as we watch what is happening at Courtland Township Disc Golf Course and other courses that remain open (groups of people/failure to comply with 6' distancing) we feel it is in everyone's best interest to keep the course closed during the Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order. Many have sited the opening of Golf Courses as being a reason to open the Disc Golf Course but there are a few differences between the two that we can't ignore: 1. Golf courses are staffed therefore people tend to be more mindful of the rules and there is a means to enforce social distancing. The Disc Golf Course is not staffed. 2. Closure of golf courses has a great economic impact on businesses so opening them was a greater priority than open recreation facilities. I know this decision is disappointing but it was made with careful and deliberate consideration. It is up to all of us to do our part to keep people safe and healthy and to get our economy back on track. Please be patient and understanding. I assure you, the Disc Golf Course is a priority to us. As soon as we feel confident that opening it is the right decision, we will get the baskets back in!
