Meter Milestone: Holly Champaign

We had an open rowing session this afternoon as a part of the Concept2 Fall Team Challenge. Holly hosted that open row. I had asked her to send me a picture of the sign-in sheet after the session. She sent the picture and said nice turnout.

But, she also said, "Also, I hit my 4 million meters today".

Congratulations, Holly, very nicely done. Your certificate is printed and will go up soon.

Double Meter Milestones:
Andy Frederick and John Swanson

This morning during our 10:45 class, Andy Frederick rowed past the 3 Million Lifetime Meter mark. John Swanson had hit his 3 Million Lifetime Meter mark a couple of days ago, on September 30th.

So, they both celebrated their accomplishments together after class today. Andy is on the right in the picture and John is on the left. Congratulations, gentlemen, on hitting your meter goals through hard work and perseverance. Well done. Your new certificates are printed and will be hung up when I go to the studio tomorrow. Row on and go hit your next target.

Meter Milestone: Peggy Carver

Peggy was one of the first people to arrive ahead of this morning's 9:15 class. She came into the office to show me on her phone how close she was to her next meter milestone. It surely didn't take long once she started rowing to hit her 11 Million Lifetime Meter mark!!

Congratulations, Peggy, on a great accomplishment. Row strong and live long! Your new certificate will go up this afternoon. Here is Peggy and me after the class.

Meter Milestone: Ruth Pollow

When I got to the studio this morning, I found a small sticky note that said: "Lowell - I reached 3 mil on Sept 7. Could you please update my plaque? I can't reach it to take it down! đŸ˜„ Ruth Pollow"

Absolutely, Ruth. Congratulations on hitting 3 Million Lifetime Meters. I just printed your new certificate and will hang it up when I go to the studio in the morning. Well done, Ruth.

Meter Milestone: Alex Hoff

Alex helped me hang the certificate up for Gloria Vanderburgh this morning. When we were done, he said you might want to keep the printer handy. I asked if he was getting close to hitting his first million? He said let me look at my phone. He then smiled widely and said that he had already hit it.

I always tell people when they hit their first million that the second million comes a lot faster. In his case, that won't be an easy task as Alex got his first million in 4 months. Awesome effort, Alex, you should be very proud. Row on, my friend, row on!

Meter Milestone: Gloria Vanderburgh

On Tuesday, Gloria told me via text after the end of class that she had hit 9 Million Meters. I said and you didn't say a word? She said she didn't realize it until later. So, I printed her certificate yesterday and got it hung up before our 9:15 class today. I wanted to be sure to get this picture as well.

Congratulations, Gloria, on a job very well done. Next up: 10 Million Meters. Row on!

Meter Milestone: Terri Cvetko - GIR Instructor

Yesterday, Terri Cvetko hit her target of 5 Million Lifetime Meters. I did not want to announce it until I had a chance to get a picture this morning holding her 5 Million Meter certificate.

Congratulations, Terri, nice work. Now order your free 5 million meter long-sleeve t-shirt from Concept2 and then wear it with pride.

Multi-talented: Ken Pelanda

Just found out that GIR instructor, Ken Pelanda, has found something else to do in his spare time, post-retirement. This is not how he dresses while leading classes at GIR, but he sure looks pretty sharp at his other job, don't you think? He cleans up well, doesn't he?

Meter Milestone: Jennifer Campbell

GIR Instructor, Jennifer Campbell sent me a text earlier in the week, showing me that she had passed the 20 Million Lifetime Meter mark. I printed her certificate and hung it at the studio, but I didn't want to announce it on here until I could have a picture to post as well. She led the 7:30am class this morning and was to lead the 9:15am class.

So, when her class was over, I pulled her certificate off the wall for this photo op. Way to row, Jen, very well done. Now, order that free 20-million-meter gym bag from Concept2. You have earned it.
