The Academy of Dance, Music & Theatre is guided by the capable husband and wife team of Tom and Jackie Nutting Ramon. Their high standards assure all the students that come to AODMT that their abilities are nurtured and developed to their highest self-imposed standards. To that end, AODMT student
s are found world wide in every facet of life, as well as performing professionally in many venues. Jackie Nutting Ramon – Artistic Director – specializes in training teachers and dancers in ballet, tap, jazz and ballroom dance. Jackie is a superlative teacher that has taught thousands of students in all aspects of dance. Jackie’s list of students is such that they can be found from coast to coast. The list of students includes many teachers, as well as dance professionals. Drawing from a strong ballet background under the tutelage of Nikita Talin and Victoria Bolen, Ms. Jackie’s students benefit through strong fundamental technique in all areas of dance. Jackie has studied extensively with renowned dance artists from both the European and North American continents. Academy teachers are encouraged to study the latest trends in our ever-changing dance world. Jackie continues to study the most innovated styles and teaching methods in order to provide Academy of Dance, Music & Theatre students the finest education in dance and the fine arts. Performing and directing experience includes many musical theatre productions including: The Nutcracker, Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast, and countless others. This short synopsis outlines just a few experiences in Ms. Jackie’s repertoire that assures you of receiving an unparalleled education not just in dance but the arts as well. Tom Ramon – Artistic Director – Truly a ballroom dance master. Ramon is known industry wide as a teacher’s teacher and a superlative performer. Ramon is certified by both national ballroom organizations to teach all levels of ballroom, beginner bronze through gold star professional levels. Ramon has worked in the same studios as many of the top professional dancers including the first United States professional ballroom champions, Ronnie Leverett and Alice DuBoise at Dance City USA in Houston, Texas. Ramon lists some of the top names in the industry as teachers, mentors and friends. Notable among them are Allen Darnel, Terry Leone, John Monte and Ron Montez.
