Plum Street Pond

Plum Street Pond Hockey is the fastest and most challenging of all the major sports. It is also one of the most expensive.

While equipment is pricey, the most costly expense associated with hockey is ice-time. For that reason, we have built a 24x24 rink in our backyard. It is our hope that we will be able to share our love of hockey with young members of the Greenville community this winter.

The 10 day forecast is showing a turn towards colder weather, not quite cold enough, but we are getting closer. Many long range forecasts indicate that winter may be starting late, but January will have average to slightly below average temperatures and February will be below average. Sounds like great skating weather!

Rink prep began tonight. This year we are building a smaller rink: 18'x18'. We hope this cuts down on the slope issue.

Another rink set back! I wanted to flood the rink on this cold, cold night, but I can't get the outside water run. I even had it protected to keep from freezing!
