Very sad day. A legend in the SCTS has passed away. Peter Kotland was a huge supporter of the SCTS for many, many years. RIP my friend!

Peter, you ran a great race, and you helped make us who we are today. Our very first sponsor was Keith’s Triathlon Shop and you have been with us for every step of our journey. From racing with us almost every weekend to volunteering to help us set up the Middle Tyger YMCA Triathlon every year, you helped make triathlon what it is today in South Carolina and around the globe. Tri it for Life needs a few more volunteeers for their Mock Tri at Holly Tree Country Club on Sat 8/23. Earliest roles start at 5a and latest end by 10a! All genders and ages are welcome to volunteer and help support these awesome women as they get ready to do their first tri!

🎉🏃‍♀️ What better way to kick off a 25-degree morning than with a fun run alongside the incredible club!

We hit the SRT trail at Legacy Park with smiles, sprints, and maybe a little frostbite (kidding… mostly)! 🌬️☕ After crushing those miles, we warmed up with hot chocolate, laughter, and good vibes—because it’s not just about running; it’s about COMMUNITY. 🥰💙

Triathlon brings us together, but it’s the friendships and post-run fun that keep us coming back for more. Grateful to share these mornings with such an amazing group of people! 💕✨
