It’s going to be a beautiful weekend! Free fishing is a great reason to be outside! I hope everyone finds time to go out and enjoy nature. It’s pretty neat!

This Saturday is the beginning of June and of Free Fishing Weekend in Maine!

On Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2, any person (except those whose license has been suspended or revoked) may fish without a license. All other laws and regulations apply on these days.

Had a great trip this weekend with a great group of guys! The lake trout were being very picky, but everyone got a decent fish and we had a nice catch and cook before getting off the ice. March 2nd/3rd is available if anyone wants to get out for some ice fishing! Message me now!

I got out on this past weekend to do a little reconnaissance and checking for safe ice. Found many spots with over 10” of good ice and got into some decent lake trout and brookies too! season is finally here in ! I have March 2nd weekend available for a guided day or night trip on Moosehead if anyone is looking to get out on the ice!

Did you know that Moosehead Lake's Mount Kineo was a very important part of Native American life many years ago? The 800 ft. mountain in the middle of Maine's largest lake is one of the largest formations of rhyolite in the world! Kineo rhyolite was sought by tribes from all over New England and even further South. The flint-like stone would be chipped away into arrowheads and other tools.
