Our "Shoe Us the Love" fundraiser was a huge success and we would like to thank all of the volunteers and community members who pulled together and donated their unused shoes or made private donations. Together, we collected 3,050 pair of shoes, and now these shoes will be refurbished and given to those in need.

It was great to see how hard the volunteers worked to make this all happen. Several volunteers sought out yard sales, schools, churches, family members and friends and were very instrumental in creating such a large number of shoes. They are an amazing group!

With the proceeds of this fundraiser, all of the volunteers will receive a comfortable, new pair of shoes to kick off the school year. It's so much easier on the feet with a good pair of shoes. Now the volunteers can walk with ease with the students in their classroom or with their in-home clients or residents they visit.

A few of the volunteers have already experienced a shopping trip, and the rest will get their chance within the next couple of weeks.

We are beyond blessed and thankful to have the best volunteers and community members!

The last day of back to school training for the Foster Grandparent volunteers with our own Melissa Stevens, 0-5 Head Start Coordinator, speaking about the Head Start food program.
Training included Senior Companion volunteers yesterday with topics of Dementia training with Nicole & Sara from Heartland Hospice, Ashley Nowland from Montcalm Area Intermediate on Autism, and plenty of sharing from the volunteers which encourages other volunteers to have a successful and fun year.
They are all off to a great start for the new year!

Stop by and visit the many vendors set up & learn about services that can help you or a loved one.
