☀️ We had a special visitor this morning! stopped by to discuss water safety and how families can stay safe around water this summer. 🏊‍♀️💙

We’re excited to now offer F.L.O.A.T. sessions for children ages 12 months–4 years! Through our F.L.O.A.T. program, little ones learn essential skills to help them become safer and more confident in and around the water.

✨ 9-week program
✨ 18 lessons total (2 lessons per week)
✨ Only $34 per lesson

Due to a bodily fluid incident that occurred yesterday, our facility will be closed today, June 16, 2026, to complete the required 24-hour closure and sanitation procedures.

We will resume normal swim lessons on June 17, 2026.

All swimmers affected by today’s closure will automatically receive a makeup token on their account. Our Front Desk team will remain available throughout the day to assist with any rescheduling needs or questions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the health and safety of our swimmers, families, and staff. 🧡

What actually happens during a swim lesson?

For many parents, the first lesson can feel like a mystery.

A typical class includes guided skill practice, playful activities that help reinforce learning, and lots of encouragement from instructors along the way. Kids work on important skills like floating, safe movement through the water, and listening for directions. All while having fun! 😊

Because when kids enjoy the experience, they’re more likely to stay engaged and keep building new skills.

Water safety is about more than just swim lessons. 🩵

One of the most important things parents can know is that drowning prevention works best when multiple layers of protection are in place. Think of it like a safety net, each layer helps protect kids in and around the water.

Those layers include:
• Barriers and alarms
• Active supervision
• Water competency (swim lessons!)
• Life jackets
• Emergency preparation

No single step does it all, but together, they help create a safer environment for families enjoying pools, lakes, and beaches.

At Goldfish Swim School, we’re proud to help families build one of those layers by teaching kids important water safety skills and confidence in the water.

Swim lessons don’t make kids fearless. They help them feel prepared. 🧡

One concern we sometimes hear from parents is, “I don’t want my child to feel overconfident around water.”

We understand that. Respect for the water is an important part of being safer.

That’s why swim lessons focus on building real skills over time. Things like floating, safe exits, listening to instructors, and learning how to stay calm in the water. Kids aren’t taught to take risks; they’re taught how to move safely and confidently when they’re in the pool and around water.

Because water safety isn’t about being fearless. It’s about being prepared.
