OFFSEASON THROWING & ARM PREP PROGRAM registration is underway!
I am extremely excited that current Professional Pitchers…and longtime Next Level inhabitants, CAM COTTER & TANNER DUNCAN will be leading both our Middle School & High School Groups during these 8 weeks. In addition to their AAA experience as pitchers themselves, both guys are fanatical about THEIR OWN PREP and ARM HEALTH….and I’ve gotten to watch and be part of that firsthand over the years. I am excited about the 8-Week Program that has been put together, how elitely & fluidly they will execute it AND how much fun this duo will be for both groups to spend time with twice per week.
*The Goals are spelled out clearly in each flier.
*This IS NOT a Pitching Program, though certainly there will be some significant “carryover to pitching.”
*This is intended for players who are already excellent with “Catch Play.”
*This is NOT intended for beginning players or players who struggle with throwing & catching. We would love to help those players, but a one-on-one lesson environment would be far more appropriate for them.

👏 Great job this morning (other than the music selection🎄) by the group that leads off the day. I always appreciate the RELATIONSHIP & COLLABORATION with this group….Excluding the holiday weeks, WE HAVE 12 WEEKS LEFT OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT PREP TIME, BEFORE SPRING SPORTS START. So, Heading into the week, I’d challenged the group with the fact that, like many of our other older groups, it was “TIME TO STEP ON THE GAS” a bit more. Love the response so far. Be on the lookout this evening, for a capture of the morning on IG on MA G’S POV😊.

We Appreciate the 7-8 year olds that we had a chance to work with today in Clinic 2 of our 3-part Lil Slugger’s Clinic series! They learned, they practiced, they competed, they had fun.
We also appreciate current Professional Players CARTER CUNNINGHAM & TANNER DUNCAN, and former South Central/PCC Player MASON HOBBS for assisting our Staff in teaching today.
Our Next Clinic in this series is in December and we’ll be Swinging. A few pics from today.

JOYNER! Congratulations to JOYNER HADDOCK (JH Rose ‘27) on his recent commitment to Pitt CC ⚾️! It’s been an honor to get to watch Joyner play the game, since he was trying out for GLL & drafted by Pepsi Cola as a 9-year old. It’s also been an honor to for us to get to partner & work with Joyner for the last decade. He’s achieved on the diamond at every level. After a highly PRODUCTIVE varsity sophomore season at Rose, he followed it up last year with a PRODUCTIVE junior season, highlighted by the lefty hitter lacing 11 Extra-Base Hits to go along with a stout .457 OBP & single digit Ks on the year. He rolled into summer, being selected to represent Region 1 in State Games, where he turned coach’s heads throughout the week. He’s continued to work diligently, both offensively & as a Pitcher, over the early Fall & will only continue to get better as he continues to mature. Joyner knows HOW TO PLAY THE GAME & we’re excited that we’ll get to continue to easily follow him next year after high school. So is Reid! 😊
Congratulations again to Joyner & the entire Haddock family!

EXCITING NEWS COMING THIS FRIDAY....We are finalizing details on both our 2027 WINTER INDOOR LEAGUE...and our WINTER ARM CARE/ARM PREP PROGRAM & will have that info ready for you on Friday. I am very excited about who will be leading our Arm Care for our Middle School & High School Players from Dec-early Feb (up to the start of MS & HS tryouts/practices) & the Program we are Assembling. I feel like over the years, we've continued to evolve, tweak & make the program better. I am also excited about the special guest list we are assembling to help umpire and help me pitch in this year's Winter League as well.
This is what we Anchormen, in the news business, call A Tease, haha. More to come Friday morning!

🔔 LONG POST ALERT, haha…
“KEEP THE LINE MOVING.”
THE ABILITY TO HANDLE THE BAT STILL VERY MUCH MATTERS!
Have had this discussion a lot in here and at the ballpark this weekend, so thought worth sharing….
The Brewers are now up 3-0 in the World Series & look poised to win their first World Series title ever. With only the 19th largest payroll in MLB out of 30 teams, HOW have they done it?
Well, last night was a microcosm.
First of all, let’s acknowledge the obvious..they have Elite Pitching. And that’s where about $86 million of their $146 million is allocated. Again, $146 million places them in the bottom 1/3 of MLB teams salary spend.
Over 162 regular season games, their offensive lineup:
-Led ALL of MLB in On Base %
-Led ALL of MLB in BA (.258)
-Was next to last in all of MLB in Home Runs
-They also LED MLB in WINNING BASEBALL GAMES (103).
Interestingly, in the Post Season, they have hit the most HRs (11), so far in 11 post season games. But what they’ve continued to excel at is MOVING THE LINE. Last night they strung 7 straight hits together. You RARELY ever see those types of ABs in today’s game. They find a way to get the NEXT GUY UP TO THE PLATE. You also rarely see a game anymore where 10 runs are scored without a HR.
PLEASE DON’T misunderstand what I’m encouraging. I LOVE Home Runs. But…not every team can pay for them/recruit them/have those guys at your school. And…sometimes the Pitcher just isn’t going to allow that.
So the ability to put the ball in play, hit behind runners, change your approach with two strikes, work favorable counts, get to 1st base, have “tough at bats”, GENERATE RUNS…..SOMEHOW “MOVE THE LINE” becomes another way to attack.
It’s been awesome to watch, and in my opinion, great for younger players to see, the Brewers have so much success with executing that style of offense over these 173 games so far and especially on the biggest stage!

‘Dawgs in the house this morning getting ready for some Fall scrimmage action this afternoon at ECU🏴‍☠️.
Pitt CC scrimmages ECU at Clark-Leclair Stadium today at 1pm. It will be a pair of 7-inning scrimmages. Perfect day for it!
