Katie Connell is originally from Dayton, Ohio, where she grew up training at the Dayton Ballet School, and performed alongside Dayton Ballet’s professional company. She has attended summer programs at CPYB, Grand Rapids Ballet, and Orlando Ballet School. She graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance. She has previously danced professionally at Central Illinois Ballet and is in her third year dancing and teaching with the Greensboro Ballet. Most recently, she has spent summers as a residence counselor with the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Come see Katie at our open house this Tuesday, September 8 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.

Faculty Spotlight! School Director Nina Munda. Ms. Munda works tirelessly to prepare for the beginning our our school year and she has a long relationship with . Did you know that Ms. Munda was actually a student who became one of our professional dancers! She now instructs all ages and works together with the Artistic Director to assist with rehearsals. Faculty Spotlight! Artistic Director Christine Cervino Grider. This is Ms. Grider’s fifth year as Artistic Director of Greensboro Ballet. She has over 30 years of teaching experience and has taught at such notable schools as Pittsburgh Youth Ballet and the School of Ballet Memphis. She has also completed teaching training courses through the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet in the Vagonova Method and through her alma mater, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Marcia Dale Weary. Ms. Grider has an eye for detail while developing a student’s artistic expression. Come meet the at our open house. September 8 4:30-6:30.
