We are excited to welcome the Race for HOPE 5K to our timing family! This virtual and in-person fundraiser supports the H.O.P.E.

Clinic (Health Outreach Program at Elon), a student-managed physical therapy clinic that provides free PT care to underinsured and uninsured neighbors in Alamance County. Elon RUNS

Since opening in 2013, the clinic has saved the community over $302,000 in medical costs and served more than 1,800 patients. HOPE Clinic- Physical Therapy

The race starts at 9:00am at 1450 Springwood Church Road in Burlington, with yard games and snacks to follow. In-person registration is $35 ($40 day-of), or join the $30 Virtual 5K from wherever you are.

Moonlight Madness is in 12 days!

All attendees can register to participate in the timed 1 mile, the untimed family 1 mile walk/run or the timed 5K PLUS enjoy live music from No Strings Attached Band! This truly is a party in the park to raise needed funds for the United Way of Forsyth.

Beyond the races, we will have a food truck, The Daily Bowl, serving acai bowls in the food truck area starting at 6:30 PM! And delicious Foothills B**r!
Race participants also enjoy served lots of delicious food from Food Lion as well as pizza from Dominos!

💜 A SPECIAL CALL TO ACTION FOR OUR RUNNING COMMUNITY 💜

Our running community has a chance to come together for one of our own. Jog for Joan is happening Sunday, September 13 from 11 AM–3 PM, and we’re coming together to celebrate, support, and fundraise for Joan Burton.

Joan was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma and has undergone surgery to remove portions of the tumor. The surgery was able to remove roughly half of the tumor and she is making incredible progress in her recovery, however she still has a long road ahead. Right now, she needs the love, encouragement, and support of her/our amazing community. 💜

Whether you run, walk, or just hang out on with the crew at the park, your presence makes a difference. Together, we can surround Joan with the love and support of the running community and remind her that she is not facing this journey alone. 100% of the proceeds and donations are going to Joan and her family for her ongoing care. It is the hope that the event can help ease the financial burden of medical expenses and allow Joan to focus on what matters most—healing.

👕 AND WE’RE GETTING CREATIVE!
We’ll have a tie-dye station at the event, so bring your own shirt and get ready to make it your own! 🎨
