We are the fast & furious, the slow and steady, the fun and the middle of the pack. We are a race series for ALL to participate and compete in.

The first race in the 26/27 season has come and gone in a whirlwind of running and celebrations! Shout out to all who participated in Fun Fourth Freedom Run! You earned 1 race finish and a minimum of 10 participation points! Overall and age group winners scored more points.

Keep the momentum and point scoring going, or lock in your chance to join the series, by participating in the upcoming Beat the Heat Beat the Heat 5K on July 18 and/or Moonlight Madness on September 12 Junction311 Endurance Sports

Food for thought…

Running is often called a “solo sport” because, at its core, all you really need is a pair of shoes and the willingness to get out the door.

But if you’ve spent any time around runners, you know it’s so much more than that.

Running is about camaraderie. It’s about community. It’s about training partners who show up before sunrise, friends who celebrate your victories, encouragement on the tough days, accountability when motivation is low, and the countless conversations had along the miles.

If you’re new to running, new to run clubs, or feeling nervous about being the new face in the group, DON’T BE! Every runner was new once, and our local running community is filled with welcoming, supportive people who are excited to share the road, trail, or greenway with you.

Take a look at the list of run clubs in our area and make it a goal to try one out. You might find a new training partner, a new friend, or even a new favorite part of your week.

Trust us—you won’t regret it.
