How I built a stronger body and better mind:
1. I Found My Why
Purpose gives life to a thing! If your goal does not have a purpose, you will not have any fuel to drive your vision. I wanted to build a system ran off of discipline, not motivation. Motivation is feelings based discipline is habit.
2. I Took Personal Responsibility
I became tired of medicrity. I realized that if I didn’t like who I was and what I saw in the mirror, it was my fault and up to me to change it. I made up in my mind who I wanted to be and what I wanted to become.
3. I Stopped Making Excuses
I was not willing to live with the regret of not pursuing my best self. Blaming others was not an option. It was a me vs me thing! No one can stop me from prospering but me.
4. Found my Tribe
I aligned myself with individuals who had similar fitness and wellness goals. Anybody not in support of or headed in the same direction were a threat to my success. So I separated myself from those not wanting to elevate.
5. I Changed the Way I Ate.
I realized that I am what I eat. I needed to eat in a way that supported my vision and goals. I didn’t primarily eat for taste but for health. I educated my self on what my body and mind needed to be more productive and perform at a high level.
6. I Involved God in the Process
I knew I couldn’t do anything sustainable without God. Without him and his word, renewal of my mind would be impossible. I had to rid myself of bad mindsets and habits. So prayer, word, and worship were priority in building my spirit man. A nice body without a strong spirit is useless.
