The good stuff is in being aware in the present moment when you can still choose how to respond. The analysis and reflection is often how we get there, but don’t stop with reflection only. Eventually you’re going to start to notice those cues in your body that say “fear is driving” or “anger is here” and then you have tools to pause, then choose. Now that’s living with more joy, ease, and grace because you’re not being driven by your triggers and the wild emotional rollercoaster. ♥️

What if we allowed ourselves to change with the seasons of life without harsh judgement or criticism of ourselves? ♥️ I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be strong and thriving in midlife. While I’m still harvesting my own answers, what I do know now is that it’s different for me than even a decade ago. I’m working to see this time as an incredible opportunity and transition to the next stage of abundance. And yet - it requires work. It requires I adhere to my practice or I quickly veer off track. Some of you here have beautifully modeled the way! Thank you. ♥️ I have the honor of supporting others in my classes and private coaching and yoga sessions. Your friendly reminder that slowing down is not weakness. Slowing down is not failure. Slowing down is strength. 🩵 And if slowing down makes the noise in your mind louder, it’s ok. 🩵 It’s temporary. With practice, I think you will find that the noise slows too and then the beauty of connection to heart is more accessible. There is wisdom in your rest. There is wisdom in your ease. 🩵 Happy Sunday!

If you’re sitting there wondering what is happening to you, you’re not alone. I’ve been digging into the research around women in midlife (no there’s not enough research on perimenopause and menopause yet), but with the little bit we do have, we are seeing that hormone decline (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone for starters) can impact our joints, fascia, and so much, much more! Today, I just wanted to remind you that if you’re not feeling like yourself, it’s not your fault. Give yourself so much grace. I get it if slowing down is not an option. We will need to rethink our badassery and get creative to make sure we support and nurture what our bodies, minds, and hearts need now to continue being badasses♥️

Let us keep fighting for each other! Happy Pride. 🏳️‍🌈 From We Can Do Hard Things (Doyle, Wambach, & Doyle 2025) “Ultimately, what I want to do in this earth is leave it a little happier, a little safer. You can think really macro and be like, okay then, I have to change this policy. But you can also make someone feel safe in a moment: I believe that my well-being is tied to your well-being. The more well I am, the more well you are. It’s so life giving to know that even a smile or warmth can be contagious; it can lift somebody, and that person can then spread it on (Christen Press).
