Hello everyone. I was able to reserve the Thrive Center for the rescheduled parent meeting this UPCOMING WEDNESDAY AUGUST 19th from 6:30-7:30 for the PARENT MEETING (this is only for the youth rec league.)

As discussed in my previous email, there will be a board meeting following from 7:30-8:30. It is IMPERATIVE to this organization that we have volunteers for the upcoming season and seasons to follow, so if you’re able and willing I encourage to stay after for the board meeting.

Due to numbers there is no need for EVALS this fall season. An email has been sent as well EVALS are Canceled, if you volunteered to coach you will be getting a text/email soon.

As my first season with GFSA comes to an end I want to take a moment to reflect on the season we had.

There were moments when things didn’t go according to plan, challenges we didn’t anticipate, and plenty of opportunities to adapt on the fly. But through it all, these athletes continued to show up, work hard, support one another, and grow. (Maybe that’s what all the rain was for? 🤣) 🌧️ 🌺

There’s a reason 94% of women in C suite positions have a history as an athlete.

It’s not about the wins and losses.
It’s networking.
It’s team building.
It’s learning to trust others to do their part.
It’s about being given opportunities to learn, adapt, and build momentum when situations maybe don’t go according to plan.

Sometimes success is measured by the confidence gained, the resilience built, the friendships formed, and the small improvements that add up over time.

The progress this season was undeniable—and that’s something worth celebrating.
