Cujo is making great progress. Since he has been neutered accidents in the house have decreased tremendously. He still isn’t keen on being picked up or having a collar put on, but other than those two things I can do most anything with him.

Playing fetch has been a huge key. I have encouraged my husband to start playing with him and Cujo has really warmed up to Gene.

We have had overnight company several times the last few months, so he is adjusting to having strangers in the house. My son was here to help with transportation for Gene’s hernia surgery last week. Cujo barked at him a lot until I had Jon play fetch. That seemed to be a game changer. Cujo still barked, but was much more comfortable around him.

He often has his little tongue poking out when he is resting. I think it is just the cutest thing.

We’ve had company all week. Barking at people is exhausting work.

I call this The Lion Tamer and the Lion. Cujo is obsessed with licking Bandit’s teeth and sticks his whole head in. Bandit doesn’t like it but he tolerates it.

I thought I posted this earlier but it isn’t showing.

It’s Official. We signed Cujo’s adoption papers this week.

Part of his new family: from left to right - Bandit on the big bed, Cujo on the floor, always near Bandit, kitty Luna napping in Cujo’s bed -she was out all night and is sleeping it off , Belle on another big bed, and the matriarch Carly - she turned 14 in March and mostly sleeps and ignores Cujo. The other eight kitties are off enjoying the open windows and ignoring everyone.
