Wind Chill and Snow settle in across Central Indiana as colder air and breezy, gusty winds stick around the next few days. Snow will begin late tonight with most of our snowfall landing by Friday morning and flurries lingering into Saturday.

We are sad to share that Mitch Barnett, N9TVJ, is a silent key. Mitch was a member of the original Putnam County Amateur Radio Club and was often heard running the weekly nets. Mitch was a great member of the amateur radio community who was always willing to help his fellow operators, or guide new ones to the hobby. He will be missed.

The photo is of Mitch and Zach, KD9HIG. Zach gave Mitch a radio so he could check into the nets from the nursing home.
