Hello everyone, just a quick update!
We are aware that the season has been pushed back longer than anticipated. This is due to the new system the state is using for registrations, scheduling, etc. It was down throughout the weekend which meant we could not get the rosters out to coaches. If you do not hear from your coach by this evening, feel free to reach out to us!
At any given time, the BEST way to contact us about anything regarding registration is to email [email protected]. If you have any personal issues that do not fall under registration/scheduling/etc, please reach out to [email protected]. If you do reach out via email please make sure you are checking your SPAM folder for a response. Though we’re human and can definitely miss people, this is the main occurrence for when someone “doesn’t get a response”. Most people aren’t aware that we are solely a non-profit organization run by volunteers and are doing the best we can to respond to everyone and give updates when they have been given to us by the state. We must report to them, so on occasion there is a lag when it comes to moving information down the line. In order to have opponents outside of our club, we are required to register through the state and must abide by their bylaws.
We have also seen some concerns about the new Playmetrics system, especially regarding uploading birth certificates. This is state sanctioned, and not something we have a say in. The state is cracking down in several areas to contribute to the overall experience our players get on and off the field. One of those specifics is the changing of our age categories. This is all the certificates are being used for. If you have an older child who has ever played in tournaments or in a competitive leave, you are familiar with this scenario. We have always used a third party system for all registrations, and would not use them if they were not secure. This is the first system that has an app, which is probably why it is being noticed more. Speaking of the app.. it’s great! If you have not downloaded the Playmetrics app please do so and make sure you have your notifications turned on. Most coaches will be using this to keep scheduling and chats all in one place.
