I've known about the great Pacific Garbage Patches for a decade and now I've found a way to support a credible effort to cleanup and recycle the plastics in these huge areas. I'm starting to provide money today by buying three pairs of sunglasses made from the plastic pulled out of the Pacific Garbage Patches. I plan to monitor this global effort by "the Ocean Cleanup" and see if it is effective. If so, I plan to contribute more routinely, because I feel that Plastic Pollution in our oceans is the most real and present danger to the quality of life on Earth.
