Leona Divide Trail Races

i friends!! Starting to fill in/finalize Leona Divide trail races volunteer shifts. This is for Saturday April 20th. Please see below. Thanks everyone!!!

Spunky Edison aid station (this is a 1.7 mile hike in to the aid station). This aid station is very minimal this year with water, ice, electrolyte, and gels only. Due to the truck trail conditions from all the rain we have gotten we are using a 4wd drive club to drive in all supplies. Volunteers will need to hike in. It is not by any menas a strenuous hike.
We need 2-3 people per shift to hike in the 1.7 miles. The 4wd club can take in chairs or any supplies for our volunteers.

Shifts are:
*7am-2pm (meet up with Sean Barry and hike the 1.7 miles in)
*1:30pm-9pm (hike out at 9pm together)

**Please comment if any shift works or if you can gather a few people for one of the shifts. We LOVE our volunteers. If you volunteer with us you may use your time towards a race entry credit.

Hi everyone! Jim Richter, and the Trail Gorillas are hosting a trail work day on the course this Saturday April 1st at 7am. PLEASE read Jim's note below.

FROM JIM:
1. We will be having a Project this coming weekend focusing on clearing brush on the PCT trail south of Lake Hughes Road. Please send an email to me indicating which days you plan on attending.
2. We will meet at the Lake Hughes Community Center at 7:00am this Saturday and drive up Lake Hughes Truck Road(or you can hike the 3 miles up). I drove up the road Saturday. It will require high clearance, so an SUV or pickup. There is plenty of parking at the Community Center, and we should have enough vehicles to offer rides to those who need them.
3. For those who want to camp we will make arrangements to camp at the property of a trail angel who lives in Lake Hughes. Please let Jim know you are going to camp.
