☘️💜 One Weekend Ends. A New Season Begins. 💜☘️

And just like that, MPG weekend is a wrap!

There was a whole lot of dancing, learning, sweating, laughing, and hard work packed into this weekend as our dancers continue preparing for Oireachtas. Every practice is another chance to get stronger, sharpen the details, and build toward that big stage.

And the timing couldn’t be better because TOMORROW WE’RE BACK!

Our first day of regular classes kicks off tomorrow, and we can’t wait to have the studio buzzing again. Familiar faces returning, new dancers walking through our doors, new goals being set, and another year of dancing together officially beginning.

And there really is a place for everyone at RGB!

☘️ Your child can take a dance class. Or they can learn Irish dance.

There are plenty of great ways to get kids moving. But Irish dance offers something a little different.

It’s dance + sport + music + culture + community rolled into one.

Irish dancers develop incredible foot speed, coordination, balance, stamina and lower-body strength. They learn complicated choreography and rhythmic patterns that challenge memory, timing and concentration — while making all of that movement look effortless.

And Irish dance has some pretty unique perks:

No partner required. Dancers can compete and perform as soloists while also learning teamwork through céilí and figure dancing.

It’s seriously athletic. Research on Irish dancers has documented substantial cardiovascular and physical demands. Those hard shoes aren’t just making noise.

There’s always another goal. Learn your first jig. Earn your next dance level. Perform on stage. Dance at a feis. Join a team. Compete at a major championship — or simply master something you couldn’t do six months ago.

It comes with a culture. Dancers aren’t only learning steps; they’re becoming part of a living tradition of Irish music, dance and storytelling passed from generation to generation.

You can actually grow up with it. Irish dance isn’t something you have to “age out” of. Our dancers range from little ones discovering rhythm and movement to adults learning their first steps — and dancers can continue recreationally for decades.

And maybe the biggest difference?

Irish dance has an incredible way of bringing people together. Different ages. Different experience levels. Competitive and recreational dancers. Kids and adults.

🌼🍂 Well, That BLOOMED! 🍂🌼

Our very first RGB Mum Fundraiser is officially in the books, and what a success it was!

A HUGE congratulations to Bella, our top seller for this year’s fundraiser! Bella earned a $75 tuition credit for her incredible fundraising efforts. Way to go, Bella! 💜☘️

And a huge THANK YOU to every RGB family and everyone in our community who participated! Whether you sold plants, placed an order, shared the fundraiser, helped with pickup, or simply spread the word, you helped make our first year such a success.

We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we decided to try something new, and the response exceeded our expectations!

A special thank you to M&K Greenhouse for partnering with us and providing all of those beautiful plants. We love that this fundraiser gave us another opportunity to support a local, family-owned business while raising funds for our dancers.

We learned a few things along the way, moved a LOT of mums, and can officially call year one a success! 🌼

We’re already looking forward to next fall. Thank you for supporting RGB and helping our dancers bloom! 💚💜

🍂🌼 The Mums Are Coming! 🌼🍂

Our first Fall Plant Fundraiser has officially bloomed, and pickup is tomorrow, Saturday, September 12 from 12:30–7:00 PM!

We are so excited to see all those mums, asters, cabbage and kale arrive at the studio and even more excited to send them home to brighten up porches all over the Capital District!

Since this is our first year doing the Fall Plant Fundraiser, we’ll also be working through our pickup process for the first time. We have a plan and will do our best to keep everything organized and moving smoothly, but we appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as we figure out what works best!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who ordered, shared our fundraiser, and supported our dancers, and to M&K Greenhouse for partnering with us. We love being able to support another local, family-owned business while raising funds for RGB.

And one final piece of pickup advice: clear out those trunks! There are a LOT of plants headed our way! 😂🌼🍂

There’s just something about the Capital District Scottish Games that makes it such a fun day for us every year.

Maybe it’s the music everywhere you turn, the incredible atmosphere, seeing familiar faces, or getting to spend the day together doing what we love. Whatever it is, this event always feels a little special.

We had a great time sharing some Irish dance among our Scottish friends, cheering each other on, laughing between dances, and simply enjoying a beautiful day together.

Thank you for having us back. We always leave this one with happy hearts, tired feet, and lots of great memories. 💚💜

This year, Rince go Brách Irish Dance Academy is proud to partner with M&K Greenhouse, a wonderful family-owned local business, for our first annual Fall Plant Fundraiser.

When you purchase your fall plants, you're doing more than bringing beautiful color to your home. You're supporting two local organizations rooted right here in our community: a family-owned greenhouse and a local Irish dance school. 🎨💚 Celebrating all kinds of talent!

Jessica may spend plenty of time working on her dancing, but we also love seeing her creativity off the stage! She earned 🥈 2nd Place in the Art Competition at the Lúnasa Feis today! 🎨✨

Being part of a feis is about so much more than placements on the dance stage, and we love celebrating all the talents our dancers bring with them. Great job, Jessica! ☘️👏
