Door County ➡️ Bays De Noc

For years I’ve spent fall targeting walleyes out of the Door county and Green Bay area. This year we’re changing things up 😎

I’ll be spending the last 2 weeks of my open water season focusing on trophy caliber walleyes, along with some eater sized fish on Little Bay De Noc. Historically speaking Bays De Noc are known for their impeccable fall fishing and I couldn’t think of a better introduction to ice season than spending some serious time on these waters in a boat.

This guy was NOT a fan of my rates for ice season. I tried to prove my point, but it was quite frankly a waste of time 😅

Anyone that knows this industry knows it’s EXPENSIVE, risky, and quite literally endless work. Rack up a couple ice castles, generators, a side by side on tracks, and endless fuel refills paired with 16-18 hour days, my prices are pretty justifiable.

My question to you, the consumer is what prices are you seeing for ice castle rentals on your nearest destination fishery and what services would you like to see provided to make your stay top notch?

Fall is definitely in the air as of late. Cold mornings, windy days and definite bite windows are all sure-fire signs that things are happening beneath the surface.

I’ve caught fish in 3’ and 30’ the past few days, but that’s nothing new. The biggest key lately has been staying consistent and capitalizing on the morning and evening bite windows. Our days can go from zero to hero with one bite!

I’m looking forward to fall and running a few trips into the dark of night. I still have a handful of days I’d like to fill in October for trophy walleyes!

We still have a bunch of fishing left in the boat, but it’s never to early to save a spot for a Little Bay De Noc ice castle rental or fully guided trip on the ice this winter!

I will be running (2) 8x20 ice castles, as well as fully guided trips up to 4 people out of my usual mobile setups.

My rates for this winter are:
•Ice castle weekend- $400/night 2 night minimum
•ice castle week day- $325/night no minimum
•Fully guided- $300/person per full day (2 person minimum)

*custom pricing available for fully guided trips with ice castle stays*

I’ll leave this post pinned to my profile from here on out. If you’ve been following along for a while, you know I pour my heart and soul into winters on the ice, and because of that days fill fast.

Texas🤝California🤝Wisconsin

What a fun group meeting up from all over for a family vacation in Door County. We let some big dawgs go, kept a few walleyes, whitefish and pike for a smorgasbord packer game fish fry. Not the best numbers trip of the season, but boy did we have a hoot dodging rain and wind!

A few Door County dates open yet this fall! Scoop em’ up before we switch gears.

You surely can’t beat some of the opportunities that arise as summer tapers out and fall settles in. Shorter days and longer nights present some awesome opportunities to catch these fish in super shallow water. Coincidentally, the cold and clear water of fall drives these fish to fire up as the sun sinks, making fishing after dark that much better.

Fall night trips have been a huge hit over the years, and I have a bunch of availability for this as we slide into the cooler months, or even next spring.

No AI needed for this one! That’s a 6 pound 22” walleye 😂

If you fish a tournament series with a slot, this one would take a little weight off your shoulders! I’ve seen a few like this but does anyone know why?

Wrapped up the BDNGLSF series this past weekend and scratched out a 3rd place finish! Ended the season in 2nd for points. Not to shabby for ripping up for the day to fish between running guide trips!

Can’t thank Spencer Murray enough for hopping in with me, and hosting me while I’m in town! A couple months of open water and I’ll be back up here full time for ice szn 😎

Every walleye guy knows the uneasy feeling launching the boat to high skies and calm seas 🥴 Gretchan and Al kicked off a busy block of trips for me, and we were met with not ideal conditions.

Fortunately for us, the bite is absolutely incredible. By the time I started setting rod number 5, we already had 3 fish on, on the starboard side!

Most trips lately have been like this, and fishing has been a little more like catching! Something you don’t always hear me say.
