Shorewood Disc Golf Course

New tee pads are in and ready to use! The new locations are updated in Udisc, and for now we recommend using Udisc for wayfinding as we do not have new signs yet.

We have removed signs from the old grass tees and moved them to the new ones, but keep in mind that the line and distance is not perfectly accurate.

Things to know about specific holes!

3 - old long tee is now the short tee
10 - green post directly in front of new short tee has been removed
15 - bridge across the creek has been screwed together, we will be getting a better one in asap
17 - there is no sign for the new long tee
18 - there is no sign for the new short tee

We are working to mow walk trails to some of the new tees.

the course is still free to play, we will release pay to play information as we get more of the signage and finish facelifting the new tee pads!

Pond pulls from today! If it has a phone number on it you will get a text, otherwise they will be available for you to pick up until July 13th.

These were pulled by a couple folks swimming and looking for their own disc. A gentle reminder, please do not swim in the pond. It is full of nasties and you run a risk of becoming ill.

We intend to get new rakes for personal disc retrieval, and we also plan to do another run of the pond next week!

Drainage install on hole 15 completed! We hope to finish the gravel work in front of the tee pad before the tournament this weekend.

We named this one Timothy, who was headed from the big pond to the little pond via hole 5 fairway. Less bitey than our last guest, very polite. 10/10 and has been safely relocated to the pond he was headed to.

This is Bartholomew (his friends call him Bart). Bart was trying to make it across hole 2 to the small pond and didn't want help, we helped him anyway.

If you're trying to retrieve a disc watch your fingers and toes. He said his friends aren't nearly as forgiving as he is.

All snow trails are currently CLOSED INDEFINITELY to protect the snow base. You are welcome to recreate on any areas of the park that are not groomed!

The disc golf course remains open, but please avoid walking on the groomed trail running through the course.

Shovels are placed at each tee pad as of this afternoon! Remember to never tee off from snow or ice covered pads!

Hey disc golf community, after continuing reports of folks having their discs turn up for sale at other locations, we find it necessary to further restrict pond retrieval operations. We will also reiterate requirements for picking up your found disc below:

Mass Pond Retrievals: ALL mass retrieval operations, including those done by volunteers, are no longer permitted. Shorewood Park staff will take over any and all pond retrieval operations. If you see anyone out there using throw rakes, scoops, or similar methods feel free to let them know it is not allowed and to inform our staff. You'll know if it's us as we will have the golf cart out.

Individual Retrievals: You are more than welcome to fish for your own disc - but only with single-disc retrieval methods like the collapsible ones or the rakes provided near the ponds.

Disc Pickup w/Phone #: If your number is on it you will get a text from our company phone. Upon pickup, you will be required to show us the text before our staff pull your disc. If it had your number and you have not been texted - we do not have it.

Pickup w/o phone #: Feel free to check with us about discs without a phone number. However, you will be required to provide the color and model (i.e. purple shark) before we pull the disc.

We're not fans that these restrictions are apparently necessary, but it has been made clear that there are some in the community that cannot be trusted with following our policies or customary norms in the community. While it's unfortunate that you, our players, may be inconvenienced by these policies, we hope that it will result in more returned plastic, less frustration, and more fun for all of our players.

We had a user report that there was someone hitting golf balls off near hole 6 this morning. They were nearly hit.

Folks, we're not a golf course any more. The hitting of golf balls at Shorewood Park is strictly prohibited, as it presents a significant danger to disc golfers, trail users, and the now more abundant local wildlife. Do not hit golf or practice golf balls at the course. Go to a driving range.

If you see someone hitting balls at the course feel free to inform them that is against the rules of the park and dangerous for other users.
