Some things just get better with time…

Started four years before Colorado was even recognized as a state, the 154 years strong tradition of Colorado State Fair brilliantly celebrates the spirit of agriculture.

State Fair 2026 made history in my book💙

Kamrynn and I honored our “fair”itage at the original home of Miss Rodeo Colorado at the Colorado State Fair by visiting the historic Jim Cook Museum.

Here, we got to see the portraits of Colorados who blazed the trail for us, and catch up with our old friend, Ray Cook who carries on his Dad’s legacy of preserving Colorado’s rodeo heritage.

There’s still time to see the fair and rodeo that predated our Centennial State by visiting https://coloradostatefair.com/rodeo/ or watch on the Cowboy Channel tonight at 7, tomorrow at 5, and Monday at 7!

A farm in the middle of Denver??

Yesterday the 5 Fridges Farm representing Jefferson County got recognized as a Colorado Centennial Farm at the ceremony that kicked off our State Fair.

5 Fridges, the 13 acre farm, bridges the rural and urban divide by bringing agriculture directly within an urban center to give the Denver community a real look at the hard work it requires to produce our food.

The Colorado Centennial Farms and Ranches recognizes historic locations in Colorado that have produced food for over 100 years. Congratulations to all recognized, thank you for keeping Colorado what it always has been; an agriculture state rooted in the traditions of the food producers who came before us ❤️💛💙

James and Denise Herman Appreciation Post✨

Whenever these two show up to an event, they instantly make my day. Their radiant light instantly brightens the room just as they brighten Miss Rodeo Colorado and The Greeley Stampede.

Between Denise’s legendary fashion shows and James’ steadfast help at every MRC event, their love for the Miss Rodeo Colorado Program has already left an epic legacy.

You both are the real deal, Miss Rodeo Colorado couldn’t do it without you!

This weekend at Steamboat Pro Rodeo I witnessed a miracle because of this Coca-Cola cowgirl.

Last night, Camryn welcomed me to her hometown rodeo with open arms. Excited to lead the horse she was riding into his first Steamboat Pro Rodeo, she took a chance only a true cowgirl can take, and started the rodeo, packing a flag into the arena.

All went smooth until her horse caught the big screen out of the corner of his eye, spooking him, causing him to buck. Almost riding it through, Camryn let her flag go and tried to dismount her horse.

Accidents happen in the arena, especially with our beautiful flight animals that are so generous to ride into such a chaotic environment. Camryn’s horse stepped on her head and shoulder, requiring her to leave immediately to the hospital.

Worried first about Camryn, then who was going to take her place, I stepped on her other old-reliable horse, Chex, and finished the rodeo out as the honorary Miss Rodeo Colorado/Coca-Cola Cowgirl.

When I arrived this evening, hearing that Camryn had to stay at the hospital for some time last night, there was one face I wanted to see. Sure enough, cowgirl tough as she is, Camryn returned, bruised but bright-eyed, to ride for her hometown!

Watching her and Chex ride tonight inspires me greatly. Not choosing to give up, but rather show up, is a lesson I will hold dear as I complete my year as Miss Rodeo Colorado❤️

You’ve made your rodeo proud, Camryn! Thank you for representing how resilient we cowgirls can be.
