Red for Colorado’s rich agricultural soil. Gold for the jackpot mines in the Rockies. Blue for our bright sunny skies. White for our snowcapped mountains.

What does this cowboy and this sponsor have in common? This picture taken at the 1929 Wheatland, Wyoming rodeo is of my Great Grandpa George “Headin’ South” on the bronc, Sourpuss.

Once this Wyoming cowboy moved to Colorado to start a family, he began Loveland Ready-Mix Concrete, still family-owned and operated today, that I had the pleasure of representing in my year as Miss Rodeo Colorado.

Loveland Ready-Mix, the highest quality concrete that has engineered themselves as a cornerstone of our Loveland community, serves construction projects in Northern Colorado and beyond. I know my Great Grandpa would be proud to see our family backing his little cowgirl as she roadtrips her way down the rodeo road 😎

Honoring the Centennial State on its 150th birthday, my Colorado Strawberry Roan Mercantile chaps are all thanks to Barb Johnson and Tracy Damrell ❤️💛💙

With Colorado flag conchos, our state’s colors, and a heart around our state flag, these chaps show a lot of love for our state—not as much unconditional love as Barb and Tracy have for the Miss Rodeo Colorado program! We love you right back.
