A message from our sister team -
Hello GMAC Families,
You may have heard already, but GMAC will not be swimming at the YMCA this upcoming season. We received the final decision this Tuesday. During meetings with the YMCA between November 2025 and April 2026, we were confident in GMAC's transition plan from Great Mills Pool to the YMCA; however, the situation began to change as the summer arrived.
In light of this, we've made the difficult decision to suspend operations, effective August 2nd 2026. We plan on keeping the business side of the team going for some time in hopes that the YMCA can accommodate us at a later date.
This decision was not easy to make, but with very limited space at St. Mary's College we felt it is in the best interest of our swimmers to refer you to other area teams. We are fortunate to have many great swim teams here in St. Mary's County.

Message from Coach Liz:
I just want to say that the past 7 years at GMAC have been the most fun and rewarding job I've ever had. I say "job" but it was more a labor of love. Getting to know all of the parents, swimmers and coaches in our GMAC Family, teaching swimmers new skills, and watching how we all grew together has been a really special time in my life. I can say on behalf of the Coaching Staff, we thank you for choosing GMAC to be your swim family. As a coach the thing that you may not realize is that for all we've taught your swimmers about the sport, they've taught us in return how to be better too -- Better coaches and better people. It's been a real blessing, and I'm going to miss GMAC!
For myself, I plan on volunteering with GMHS Swimming again, primarily in the Weight Room and Summer Conditioning, and will continue on with Great Mills Tritons (Summer League). In addition, I have a "Grandfathered" account in MeetMobile, so I can subscribe to your results at your new team this SCY Season! That might be the best $5.99 I spent back in 2019. From time to time I'll stop in at meets at the college, and I look forward to following their continued success in and out of the pool!

We are in the process of organizing a farewell get together for the team, so be on the lookout for emails about that in the coming weeks.
