Great Falls Equestrian, LLC Coming soon--Great Falls Equestrian! And they are thrilled to still have Sharon on board, continuing to teach students as well.

Situated on over 30 acres in the heart of Great Falls, Great Falls Equestrian is a multi-discipline equestrian facility offering top notch training for riders of all levels, and premium care for their horses. Longtime Great Falls residents and horse community standard bearers Sharon and Harry Huber are handing the reins of the facility on Arnon Chapel Road (formerly operated as Deerfield Farm, Gre

at Falls Horse Center, and most recently as the Hubers' Stoneridge Farm) to a new team with Great Falls Equestrian. Wendy Masemer; a top level eventer, lifelong Great Falls inhabitant, and former student of the Hubers; and Lauren Dearlove; a successful trainer specializing in young horses, and formerly a beloved instructor with Great Falls Pony Club; will be taking over and are excited to carry on the long standing tradition of training young riders and fostering a love of horses in the next generation. Wendy and Lauren have a deep background in the hunter, eventing, and dressage worlds, and are proudly welcoming riders of all disciplines and levels to come train with Great Falls Equestrian. They hope to give riders a chance to experience different types of riding and competitions, and to help riders find their passion and pursue their callings.

And a shout out to our students who attended Loudoun Benefit Horse Show; both those who competed and those who came to watch and help. We saw a lot of lovely sportsmanship and teamwork, running between both sides of the road and all the show rings, which made us more proud than any ribbon that could have been earned. Thanks all of you for a fun week!

Back to last week—we had a great group of kids take on Loudoun Benefit Horse Show in both the hunter and jumper rings. Gudrun and Thuggie banged around the .80 and the .90, putting in two clear rounds. Mila and Wilson also had clear rounds in the .80 and the .90, before donning their hunter garb and riding in the Low Children’s Hunter. Abby and Henry also went in the Low Children’s Hunter and got a piece of the large USHJA 2’3” under saddle class. Judy and Zoomer pulled a 3rd in their second course in the Small/Medium Children’s Pony Hunter. And Ella and Mia did their first rated Short Stirrup division. We had a blast, and remain endlessly grateful to Emily and Edwin for all the back and forth to Upperville.

Parade Field Farm had a banner day, hosting its first American Hanoverian Society inspection! Salsa finished as the high score non-Hanoverian mare with a score of 7.33; Deventer was the high score Hanoverian of the inspection with a score of 7.0 and De Lamour was the top foal of the inspection. So proud of Lauren and what she has built with her program!

It’s Wednesday and we’re finally recovered and getting caught up to post about our competition adventures this past weekend. First up, Brody got to go on a solo adventure with Wendy to Seneca Valley Pony Club Horse Trials. As always, he was a VGB, very good boy, and showed he has really started to figure out this whole using his body to jump thing instead of sheer force. Love where this cool dude is headed; he finished 5th in his Open Novice division, and would have been higher if halting square and holding that pose wasn’t so hard! Thanks to KMKPhotos for the fantastic photo.

Well, I guess I’ll eat since the food is right there. In love with Lauren Dearlove’s 2026 foals.

Judy and Zoomer had a stellar day at Loudoun Benefit Horse Show! In their first rated show, the pair came in 3rd in their second course, and got a callback for the classic round. Love seeing these two shine!

Edwin is our hero everyday, but Wednesday he really saved us, loading trunks and horses in the rain at Loudoun Benefit Horse Show. Anyone showing this week owes Edwin a huge thank you, an extra coffee, and a nice meal. We love you!
