The Millers held off the ever-tough Berkshire Thunder and three-peat with a 2026 BABL Championship win!

BABL batting champ Alexander Salazar broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the 4th with a majestic leadoff homer off Thunder ace Joe Bateman. Smart baserunning, great defense, gritty pitching by starter Ken Zucco, and a dominant save by Brian Rodriguez sealed the 2-0 win for GB as they sweep the finals once again two games to none.

Brian Rodriguez laces the first of his two RBI hits as GB brought home Game One of the finals Saturday with a 7-0 win over the Thunder. Will Grega started and was perfect through 5, then held the Thunder hitless into the 7th.

Before Game One of the finals yesterday, Millers slugger Alex Salazar (R) was awarded the BABL 20-division Tom Grieve Batting Champion award for the 2026 season, while Will Grega (L) took home both the Turk Wendell pitching award for his dominant season on the bump, but also the Mark Belanger MVP award for his overall contributions to GB’s undefeated season.

The BABL player awards are named for Berkshire natives that went on to have MLB careers.

The Millers improved to 10-0 after a 14-0 win vs. the Housatonic River Monsters on Sunday in Lee. Will Grega threw another gem striking out 10, and only allowing one hit.

In a close game, the Millers blew it open with an 11-run 6th inning. Colby Reuger had a big day at the plate going 3/4 with a 2-RBI triple. Brian Rodriguez continued to rake with a 3-RBI double in the first. Will Grega and Ezra Small each had a multiple hit day as well.

Through ten games the Millers have now scored 124 runs while only allowing 2 on the season.
