⚽ Gravette Soccer Association – Schedule Update (U9 only) ⚽
Hi everyone! Please take a moment to review a few important schedule updates for the final three weeks of the season.

📅 Week 1 Rainout
Our Week 1 rainout has been rescheduled to Saturday, 5/16.

✅ Scheduling Correction (U9 only, U6 and U12 NO CHANGES)
I found an error where two teams were not scheduled to play each other. To correct this, the following changes were made:
🔹 Saturday, 5/2
Hurricane moved to 11:00 AM vs Rockets
Storm moved to 12:00 PM vs Strikers

🔹 Saturday, 5/9
Hurricane moved to 10:00 AM vs Strikers
Tornadoes moved to 11:00 AM vs Dynamite

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we work to make sure all teams get their games in against all teams.

🚨⚽ GAME DAY UPDATE – 4/25 ⚽🚨

Breaking news… we checked the forecast 12 times (okay, maybe 37 😅) and for the first time in what feels like forever… NO RAIN tonight into tomorrow.

That’s right — the fields are dry(ish), the goals are standing, and the soccer balls are ready to roll. We repeat: ALL SYSTEMS GO.

Kids can actually play soccer instead of “competitive puddle jumping” 💦❌
Coaches won’t need snorkels on the sidelines 🤿❌

It’s shaping up to be a perfect morning for some Gravette soccer — goals, snacks, sideline cheering, and maybe even a little sunshine to remind us what it looks like ☀️

Schedule is set, teams are ready, and we can’t wait to see everyone out there!

Let’s play some soccer!!! 🙌⚽

⚽️ Gravette Soccer Update – Game Day Info ⚽️

Great news—after putting in the work to get our fields ready, we’re excited to say:

✅ U6 games are ON as scheduled!
✅ U12 games are ON as scheduled!

⏸️ U9 games will be postponed and rescheduled for Monday or Tuesday, depending on coach availability.

Our proactive efforts on the fields paid off for 3 of the 4 fields, and we’ll keep working to make improvements moving forward.

📣 U9 Families: Your coach should be in touch later tonight or tomorrow with updates.
📣 U9 Coaches: I’ll follow up with you after today’s games to coordinate next steps.

⚽️ GSA Game Day Update – Saturday, April 18th ⚽️

We’re looking forward to getting back out on the fields tomorrow! Matchups are set and ready to go (see schedule below), and we’re hoping the weather cooperates so our players can hit the pitch.

🌧️ That said… as you all know, the forecast tonight is constantly changing. With the potential for rain, player safety due to field conditions will be our top priority. We’ve been working hard to stay ahead of things by adding topsoil to low areas and doing what we can to improve drainage—but ultimately, Mother Nature has the final say.

⏰ If weather impacts play:
We will make a final decision in the morning and post an update here by 8:00 AM. Please check the page before heading out.

📅 In the event of cancellation:
We’ll have to get a little creative with rescheduling. This may include weekday games, and we’ll work closely with coaches and referees to find the best possible days and times for everyone involved.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility—it’s all part of spring soccer!

🚨 GSA Game Day Update 🚨

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us today. With nearly 2 inches of rain overnight, our fields are currently flooded and have significant standing water. For the safety of our players and to protect the fields, all games scheduled for today are postponed.

📅 Make-up Date: May 16, 2026
📅 Season Update: We will begin with Week 2 games next Saturday (4/11)

We know everyone was excited to kick off the season today, and we appreciate your understanding as we deal with the weather. We’re looking forward to getting things started next weekend! ⚽💙

Week 1 is officially here, and the excitement is building for our first games on Saturday 4/4! Please remember, if anything changes regarding game cancellations, your coach will be notified through this platform just like everyone else, so there’s no need to text them directly. Games are considered to be on until we make a final decision Saturday morning between 08:00 and 08:30, at which point I’ll post an update right here.

Just so everyone is clear on the game-day weather policy: we will play in the rain, so please come prepared for wet conditions. However, if there is lightning in the area, games will not proceed for safety reasons. Additionally, if the fields are flooded or deemed unsafe for the players, we will also postpone the games to a later date.

Looking forward to seeing everyone out there and kicking off a great season! Stay tuned for Saturday morning updates.
