Something VERY interesting waltzed into BikeKraft this week. 👀

A customer special ordered an ICE recumbent trike with the new PERS Chainless Pedalling System and it’s the first one we’ve had come through the shop.

No chain. No traditional drivetrain. You pedal, it converts that energy into electricity, and off you go. Basically pedal by wire… or, as we prefer to call it, ✨bike magic✨.

So naturally, we had to give you a little tour of this wild piece of technology.

And perhaps even more shocking than a bike with no chain… Sean willingly appeared on camera. The elusive BikeKraft creature is becoming slightly easier to document in his natural habitat. 😂

Community doesn’t just happen. You build it. 🤘

One meeting, one project, one slightly unhinged idea at a time.

Dollar Mountain is such a damn cool example of what can happen when people get involved and give a s**t about the place they live. Chad, Speedo and I have all served together on the Parks Advisory Committee, and while Chad deserves some serious credit for helping lead the charge on this project, there were SO many hands that made it happen.

This was actually Chad’s last meeting as Chair, which makes this little trail map delivery extra special. 🥹🚲

Here’s to getting involved, supporting big ideas, building community and making our little town even more dope.

🌲✂️ HOT DOGS. HEDGE TRIMMERS. TRAIL LORE. ✂️🌲

Mountain of the Rogue is due for a little haircut and we’re calling in the crew. Come help us clear brush, whack back overgrowth, make the trails extra rideable, and hang with good humans who care about keeping our local trails dialed.

We’ll be giving MOTR the full spa treatment (minus the cucumber water) and rewarding ourselves with a post-work we**ie roast at the trailhead 🌭

Bring your w**d eater, loppers, rake, or just your good attitude and willingness to help. No need to go rogue and blindly pick a trail either. If you’re running late, contact info will be posted at the trailhead so we can coordinate where help is needed.

aka your new favorite way to spend a Saturday evening

Every second Saturday of the month we’re rolling out from Bikekraft for a cruisy, feel-good ride to Weekend Beer Co & back 🍻

DATES:
April 11
May 9
June 13

THE PLAN:
• Meet at Bikekraft (1448 Williams Hwy)
• Wheels rolling at 5:30 PM sharp
• ~3 mile ride to Weekend Beer Co (slightly uphill, nothing crazy)
• Takes about 30 minutes at a chill, social pace
• Hang, sip, snack, vibe for 1.5–2 hours
• Cruise back (faster + downhill = chef’s kiss)
• Back at the shop around 8:30 PM

DETAILS:
• Family friendly (bring the kiddos!)
• Helmets required
• Water bottles encouraged
• Bike rentals available at Bikekraft if you need one
• No-drop ride — we stick together 🤝

This isn’t a race, it’s a vibe. Come for the ride, stay for the people, leave with that “why don’t I do this more often” feeling.
