We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for dancers of all ages, shapes and sizes. Candela Dance Studio is the result of a vision that began over a Thai lunch: To have a studio in Grants Pass specifically focused on partner dancing, and to spread the joy of dance through Salsa, West Coast Swing and more! It was made possible by community support. We're open to people of all ages, siz

Announcing the launch of Milonga Luz de Candela
Every 2nd Friday!
Step into the warm light of tango at Candela Dance Studio! We are thrilled to launch our new monthly milonga, creating a cozy, vibrant space for tango lovers across Southern Oregon.

Never danced tango before? Start the night with our 1-Hour Beginner-Friendly Class before the social. Designed to get you moving, comfortable, and having fun right away.

We had such a great time last month. Kyle is a great teacher and will make you feel at home. Come try it out!

Lesson from 7 to 8 p.m.
Social Dance (Milonga) from 8 to 10 p.m.
Admission is $20, or free for Candela members

What a weekend of learning, growing and dancing ‘til the wee hours at ESS Camp in Phoenix! We spent many hours training with the world’s top West Coast Swing dancers, and are coming home freshly inspired with a boatload of material to practice, implement and teach ✈️🎶💕 These events fuel and energize us - and also exhaust us, as we train by day then dance through most of the night. Good morning! Candela owner Melissa here👋 Since I'm usually the one teaching, it's rare for me to get the opportunity to train as a dancer. But this weekend, I'm headed to Phoenix to train in West Coast Swing at ESS Camp! I'm SO excited to learn and grow, and look forward to bringing back what I learn to our Candela West Coast Swing students :) ✈🎶🎉

Join us for our new 3rd Friday Ceilidh, hosted by Kat Greene and featuring LIVE music!

WHAT IS CELIDH?
Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering featuring lively folk music and group dancing. Ceilidh dances follow specific patterns and are led by a “caller” that walk participants through the moves. The dances are performed to traditional jigs and reels played by a live band.

WHEN WILL THIS BE?
Kat will host the Ceilidh dancing on the THIRD Friday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per person, or free for Candela members (also free for those who haven’t yet used their 2 “free trial” classes/events)

WILL THERE BE LIVE MUSIC?
Yes! Kat, whom you may know as a Hula instructor, also plays in a Celtic band! You will be able to dance to their live music 🙂

DO I NEED A PARTNER?
No! Most people come without a partner. You also don’t need any experience - Kat will teach you everything you need to know!
