On Sunday, Eastman Golf Links hosted its 2nd annual Gals Golf Day Scramble. Gals Golf Day has become known as the “opening day event” for our LOL and EWGA Women’s Golf Leagues. The event serves as a fun environment for women to learn what joining a golf league at Eastman is all about. We had a great turnout with 32 participants!

XGD Drainage Systems are being installed beginning today on the green of Hole 4. There is a temporary green set up while work takes place. The process will take an estimated 2-3 days to complete. Once Hole 4 is all set, we will move onto 5, 6, 7, and 10. Thank you for your understanding while we work to ensure our course stays in great condition!

Have you noticed the small white flags on our flagsticks? This is a new pin placement system. Even though most of us will still fly our ball 30 yards over the green (or chunk it 30 yards short), it’s still nice to know where the pin is! A high white flag = pin placement in the back of the green, mid = middle and low = front. This will give our maintenance crew much more freedom for pin placement than our former letter system, which leads to better care and condition of our greens. Best of luck to those playing in the EGL Opening Scramble today!
