Wilderness On Wheels provides Access to Nature for people of all abilities, their families and caregivers. WOW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with no paid staff.

Wilderness On Wheels (WOW) provides Access to Nature for people of all abilities, their families and caregivers. Nestled at the base of Kenosha Pass, WOW offers a one-mile long, eight foot wide boardwalk that rises to 9,200 feet, fishing pond, 13 campsites, 5 huts and 2 cabins - all wheelchair accessible. We are entirely supported by donations and volunteers. To date, over 116,000 hours have been invested in the project by some 3,500 volunteers!

At Wilderness On Wheels, we believe everyone deserves access to nature — no matter their ability. From our wheelchair accessible boardwalk and campsites to our peaceful mountain trails and fishing spots, WOW exists because the outdoors should never be off-limits.

We have a trailer and adequate manpower to pick these items up from the donor. On-site donations at the WOW mountain facility (45924 U.S Hwy. 285, Grant, CO 80448) are certainly welcome. We are excited to announce that one of the musicians playing at our WOW Summer Bash is Kyle Taulman. He is a 23 year old singer songwriter from Golden, CO. He has been performing since he was a kid and loves all different kinds of music. He varies his set between genres and artists with a couple originals thrown in! He is also a World Cup and Paralympic alpine ski racer who is currently training for the Paralympic Games in Milano-Cortina this winter. Thanks Kyle for being a part of this fun event.

Happy 4th of July from Wilderness On Wheels! We hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday weekend. If you need last minute plans, we are open daily for day trips from 8am-8pm. We also have some tent and hut sites still available to reserve.
