Before STL Line Dancers, there were people in our community already doing the work—teaching, building, gathering, creating community, and making space for line dance culture to grow.

STL FLAVA blazed that path.

That is why we are proud to announce STL FLAVA as the recipient of the 2027 STL Trailblazer Award, presented during 5 WITH 5: A Dynamic STL Line Dance Weekend!

We believe in giving people their flowers and honoring the people who helped make it possible for others to come behind them. STL FLAVA’s presence, leadership, and commitment to the St. Louis line dance community helped create a foundation that STL Line Dancers has been able to build upon.

As we prepare for 5 WITH 5: A Dynamic STL Line Dance Weekend — September 1–5, 2027, we are excited to officially introduce our 5 WITH 5 Spotlight Recipients!

Each of these incredible individuals was personally selected by a member of the STL 5 to be recognized during our weekend.

These are instructors, choreographers, leaders, culture keepers, and community builders whose impact reaches far beyond the dance floor. They represent the talent, passion, creativity, and community that make line dancing what it is.
