I want to thank everyone that came out to the Barney Mowery Memorial Field Shoot/2026 IFAA State Field Championship/2026 NFAA Northwest Outdoor Sectional. We had a combined total of 92 shooters, which by far exceeded what I had expected to see. Thank you all for your patience both days, I know it was a lot between the Modern Field format, electronic scoring, and everything else. Without all of you this would not be possible. Thank you.

Congratulations to Harold Schuerman who was awarded our new Barney Mowery Legacy Award by Presley Johnson, the granddaughter of Barney, who assisted greatly in the preparations for this weekend.

Hey everybody! We’re in the final stretch before the field shoot next weekend. We hope to see you in Grangeville, ID for the Barney Mowery Memorial Field Shoot, IFAA State Field Championships, and NW Field Sectionals on July 11th & 12th!

Here is some important information:
🏹 The early registration deadline FOR SECTIONALS is 3 calendar days prior to the first day of competition. A $15 late fee will apply after this deadline. So get signed up before Wednesday to be safe! (link is here: https://nfaausa.com/events/event-information/38460 ) You do not need to pre-register for state or the BMM, you can do that in person when you arrive, although you CAN preregister for state when you register for sectionals if you would like. This is not mandatory.

🏹 We will be shooting the entirety of the Sectionals portion of the shoot on Saturday (12 Field targets (3 arrows/target), 12 Hunter targets (3 arrows/target), 12 Animal targets), so if you are only coming to compete in Sectionals, that is the only day you will be shooting for score. We will then shoot another 14 Field (traditional field round style, 4 arrows/target) and another 14 Hunter (traditional hunter round, 4 arrows/target) on Sunday. For State and the BMM, we will combine your Saturday and Sunday scores for your total score. If you have questions about this, please reach out, we know it’s kind of confusing!

🏹 We have had a few people reach out requesting their favorite camping spots, so we have included a somewhat accurate map of the range camping situation and will put which spots have been claimed in the comments. We’re pretty good at finding places to park everybody, so if you don’t get a spot “reserved,” don’t fret, we’ll get you in a spot. If you have a preference, let us know and we’ll do our best to save it for you.

Registration for the Barney Mowery Memorial & IFAA will be open/available on site Friday evening & Saturday morning. There is an option on the sectional link to pay state entry fee as well.
