Jackeline Phillips became the first ever woman champion at US Tennis League, she captured her title for the 2019 Spring Season by defeating Mayen Akpan 6-4, 6-2 in the Finals. After Jackeline won a close first set 6-4, Mayen remained competitive and changed the momentum starting the second set when she took a 2-0 lead but Jackeline raised her game to win 6 games in a row and claim the match.

The match was completed in 1 hour and 31 mins, 134 total points were played — Jackeline won 76 points and Mayen 58. In a post match interview, Jackeline dedicated the win to her daughter & said she is her main source of inspiration
