Today, I want to recognize and thank Coach Ryan Wade for everything he has meant to Grandville Boys Basketball over the past five years.

Ryan has been much more than an assistant coach—he has been my right-hand man, a trusted friend, and an invaluable part of building our program. His commitment, passion, and daily investment in our players helped shape Grandville Basketball into what it is today.

What always stood out most about Ryan was his ability to build genuine relationships with our players. He cared deeply about them as young men, and they knew it. His influence extended far beyond the basketball court.

Over the last five years, I’ve watched Ryan grow tremendously as a coach. He dedicated himself to learning, improving, and serving our program, and that growth has prepared him for the next step in his coaching journey. I couldn’t be more excited for him as he begins his new role as an assistant coach at Hope College.

One of the many highlights of our time together was helping bring Grandville High School its first district championship in 49 years this past season. That accomplishment would not have been possible without Ryan’s contributions and leadership.

Ryan, thank you for the countless hours, the sweat, the energy, and the motivation you brought to our program every single day. Your impact on Grandville Basketball will be felt for years to come.

We are going to miss you, but we are incredibly proud of you and excited to watch you continue to grow and succeed.

We love you, Coach Wade. Thank you for everything, and best of luck at Hope College!
